• If a person does not have any VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications then he/she must gain experience with the Professional VMware vSphere 6.7 3V0-653 exam first. He/She must attend one of the required training courses from the following courses:

• VMware vSphere: Optimize and Scale plus Troubleshooting Fast Track [V6.7]

Then the candidate must pass the VMware 3V0-653: VMware Certified Advanced Professional 6 - Desktop and Mobility Deployment Exam to get the VCP-DCV 2020 certification.

• If the candidate has the certification from the previous year i.e., VCP-DCV 2019, he/she must gain experience with the VMware vSphere 6.7 first. Then he has two options i.e., either pass Professional DCV Exam or he can attend one of VMware's training courses of 2020.

Then the candidate must pass the VMware 3V0-653: VMware Certified Advanced Professional 6 - Desktop and Mobility Deployment Exam to get the VCP-DCV 2020.

• If a person has VCP5-DCV or any older certification, he/she has to gain experience with VMware's vSphere 6.7 first. It is also mandatory to take one of the required courses of VMware. Then the candidate must pass VMware's Professional DCV Foundation exams. Then the candidate will be eligible to appear in the Professional DCV Exam, and after passing the exam candidate will be awarded the VCP-DCV 2020 certification.

• If a person has any one of the following certifications: VCP-NV or VCP6-CMA or VCP7-DTM, he/she has to gain experience with VMware's vSphere 6.7. It is also recommended to get the training from 3V0-653 practice exams. After passing the Professional DCV Exam, the candidate will be awarded the VCP-DCV 2020 certification.

• If a person has VCP-DW 2018 or newer certification, he/she must gain experience with VMware's vSphere 6.7. It is also recommended to take part in the 3V0-653 practice test. After passing one of the VMware Foundation exams, the candidate will be allowed to appear in the DCV exam.
